After a few online teases, Skrillex drops his first new music with “Rumble,” a collaboration with fast-rising British artist-producers Fred Again and Flodan. The song comes via Skrillex’s long-running OWSLA label, distributed by Atlantic Records.

With new music came a new look: Skrillex’s trademark long, curly hair and big glasses were replaced by a sleek beard and slicked-back hair.

While there has never been an official announcement of the collaborative track by any of the three artists, all three have hinted at it, and online buzz has gained momentum after Fred Again played the song during his performance leading up to his recent Boiler Room debut — an unofficial version of the song on YouTube over the past few weeks. Popped up.

Skrillex has kept a low profile over the past few years — he hasn’t released a new extended work since his 2019 EP “Show Tracks,” but in 2021 guested on a slew of singles with J Balvin, Justin Bieber and Don Tolliver, Swae Lee and Sickbrain. Not to mention the double-platinum duet, “En Me Cuarto,” with Starrah and Four Tate, 100 Geeks and others — Jay Cortez. However, he is reportedly sitting on the grace of new material which is likely to be released this year.
