Sony Pictures has released the romantic comedy “The Broken Hearts Gallery” from July 10 to July 17.
The studio said Tuesday that the movie will be the first extensive release of the summer. Last week, Warner Bros. Christopher Nolan’s spy thriller “Tenet” was moved to July 17 and July 31.
The “Broken Hearts Gallery” features Geraldine Bishwanathan, Dakar Montgomery, Utkarsh Ambudakar, Molly Gordon, Philippe Sue, Suu Kyi Waterhouse, Arturo Castro, Ego Novodim, Taylor Hill and Bernadette Peters.

Sony Pictures Classics will release Aug. Giuseppe Capotondi’s “The Barent Orange Hersey.”
The film was acquired by Sony Pictures Classics shortly after its premiere as the Clotting Night Film at the 2019 Venice Film Festival, where Capotondi, Jagger and Sutherland Fondajion won the Mimmo Rotella Award. It was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival later this month
The joke starred Jagger as a glamorous and ambitious art critic who was contracted by a wealthy art dealer, who invited him to his villa in Lake Como, Italy, and asked him to steal the paintings of the legendary repetitive artist from Sutherland.
Acquisition
Good Dead Entertainment has acquired Carlos LaPage Estradar’s “Summer”, the opening film of the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, from the Los Angeles Media Fund for distribution rights in North America. Diversity Learned exclusively.
“Summer Time” tells the story of the intersection of 25 young spoken-poets in one day in Los Angeles. Directed from a script by 227 poets from the Estherda literary organization GetLit, who has also starred in the film, and playwright Dave Harris. The film marks Esther’s follow-up as “blindspotting”.
The film is produced by Kimberly Stockwich, Jeffrey Soros, Alyssa Tagger, Simon Horsman, Diane Lobby Lane and Carlos LaPage Estarada. In addition to production, the Los Angeles Media Fund has fully funded the project.
