STX gets Elizabeth Moss’s distribution rights to ‘Run Rabbit Run’ – Variety

STX Entertainment has acquired the rights to distribute worldwide for Emmy-nominated “Handmade Tale” director Diana Red (“Outsider”) and Emmy winner Elizabeth Moss (“Invisible Man”).
STXFilms will distribute “Run Rabbit Run” directly to the United States, the United States and Ireland, introducing the project to buyers in the STXTinternal running virtual ear market. On the eve of the market, XYZ Films’ Nut Ballotin discussed the deal on behalf of the producers. .
The film was written by nove pannik Hannah Kent, who wrote from an original concept developed with Carver Films (“Relic”). Anna McLeish and Carver Films are producing the entire show, and Moss will be producing alongside her partner Lindsay McManus. Principal photography is expected to begin in Australia in 2020.
XYZ Films (“Mandy”) will create the project in collaboration with Finland’s IPR.VC and executives. Film Run Rabbit Run is a Carver Films production with major production investments in XYZ and Screen Australia in collaboration with Victoria and the South Australian Film Corporation. 30 West will also serve as executive producer. Umbrella Entertainment will distribute in Australia and New Zealand.
Adam Fogelson, chairman of STXfilm Motion Picture Group, said: A genre film that reunites Elizabeth with ‘The Handmade Tale’ director Dina Reid is an incredible opportunity and we can’t be more excited to go together in this film.
Moss will then be seen in Wes Anderson’s Cannes official selection “French Send”, as well as Taiki Wetti’s “Next Goal Wizards”.
Moss represents WME, Individual Talent Group and RBC Entertainment Group. Reed is presented by RGM artists and ICM partners.
STX has recently merged with Indian studio Eros International.
