At a crucial moment in the history of comic books, John Kent – the son of Clark Kent, aka Superman, and Lewis Lane – is being published as bisexual on the pages of DC Comics, the publisher announced Monday.

John Kent, now known as “Superman of the Earth”, will appear in the November 9 issue of “Superman: Son-of-Kal-L # 5” when he begins a romantic relationship with reporter J. Nakamura যা which points to the Kryptonian apple not falling off the tree. .

Tom Taylor (“Dark Knights of Steel”) wrote the issue, and John Timms (“Harley Quinn”) the artist.

“I’ve always said everyone needs a hero and everyone deserves to see themselves in their hero and I’m very grateful DC and Warner Bros. share this idea,” Taylor said in a statement. “Superman’s symbol has always stood for hope, truth and justice. Today, that symbol represents something more. Today, most people in comics can see themselves as the most powerful superheroes.

In the issue, John Kent’s Superman will find comfort in Jay’s arm after being completely detached from trying to save the world. According to a statement, the story is being published “in the original sequel to DC Multiverse.”

“We couldn’t be more proud to tell this important story of Tom Taylor and John Teams,” said Jim Lee, DC’s chief creative officer and publisher. “We talk a lot about the power of DC Multiverse in our storytelling and this is another incredible example. We let John Kent explore his identity in comics as well as his family’s secrets on John Kent Superman and Lois TV. They coexist in their own world and time and our Fans can enjoy both at the same time.

Below are the main covers and optional covers for the issue.
