T-Mobile Shutting Down Television Home Internet TV Service

2 min read

This comes as no surprise: T-Mobile TV home “Fat Bundle” is shutting down Pay-TV service at the end of the year, which carries a starting price of $ 100 at the beginning of the year.

The announcement comes just weeks after the launch of a new set of over-the-top live TV services, even under the television brand (misleadingly).

ET, T-Mobile and television will not provide home service or high-speed internet service until 3am on December 30, 2020, according to the company’s new FAQ on its website about the shutdown.

“The TVVision Home was the beginning of our mission to make TV better for everyone and to remove the customer’s pain points,” the company said in a message to customers. “Since we started this journey in 201 solution, we have worked hard to solve the streaming. We believe that TV Live gives customers the best potential on TV.”

T-Mobile Skinner is offering TV Home customers special deals for a limited time to switch to new TV Live TV (starting at $ 40 / month) or Vibe (ড 10 / month) bundles. However, the self-described “un-carrier” discovery, the way OTT has packaged and priced products by programmers including NBCU and VicomCBS – has been accused of violating the terms of their distribution agreement on TV Live and Vibe. (T-Mobile claims that it complies with its content agreements but states that it is “open to the development of our services.”))

The TVV home startup was based on services built by Layer 3, which T-Mobile bought in 2017 for about 5 325 million. The carrier re-launched the service as a television home last year, calling it an “alternative to cable TVs.” But the initial monthly price, which was much higher than the legacy cable and satellite pay-TV levels, was clearly not an attractive alternative to cord cutters. T-Mobile did not disclose how many subscribers have signed up for the TV Home.

Another problem with TVVision Home: Layer 3’s model was to provide Pay TV through deals with broadband providers that could guarantee high throughput rates. As such, Television Home had limited rollouts available in metro areas including Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Longmont, Colo.

T-Mobile reports that current TV Home customers can try Free Television Live or TV Vibe by June 30, 2021. In addition, it offers them a free TV Hub, its new Android TV-based adapter and remote which is common for each. for ড 50 paying offering TV home set-top boxes to their account. To qualify, customers must be a current T-Mobile postpaid or inherited Sprint Wireless subscriber.

According to T-Mobile’s FAQ, the latest bill should be taken by TV Home customers after the due date of 13 November 2020.
