“Jungle Cruise” is starting the journey again.

Work is underway to create a sequel to the adventure movie based on the theme park ride after “Jungle Cruise” grossed over 100 100 million at the domestic box office last weekend.

Dynamic duo Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt will be back for another adventure, water-soaked riverboat captain Frank Wolf and adventurous adventurer DL Lily Hutton.

Executive producer Scott Sheldon and directors such as producers John Davis, John Fox, Beau Flynn, Johnson, Danny Garcia and Hiram Garcia are expected to return. Michael Green, who co-wrote “Jungle Cruise” with Glenn Ficker and John Require, will write the sequel.

“Jungle Cruise” was launched on July 30, in theaters and at Disney Plus Premier Access for an additional 30. In its first weekend, it took 34 34.2 million from the theater and 30 30 million from Disney Plus, the agency said. The film grossed বক্স 100 million domestically in its fifth weekend. At the worldwide box office, its total is $ 187 million.

During the epidemic, it was difficult to judge theater box office success when movies simultaneously debuted on streaming services. On top of that, the rise of covid cases across the country due to the Delta variant has again affected theatergoers. The opening weekend of “Jungle Cruise” was slightly above “Space Jam: A New Legacy” ($ 31 million), “Godzilla vs. Kong” ($ 31 million) and “Cruella” ($ 21 million), the first two of which were simultaneously on HBO. Max and the latter debuted at Disney Plus Premier Access. However, it was well below the launches of “Black Widow” ($ 80 million), “F9” ($ 70 million) and “A Quiet Place Part II” ($ 47 million), all of which were entries into the popular franchise. With a value of 200 200 million, the success of “Jungle Cruise” may not mean much in ordinary times, but now it is ready to launch a new Disney franchise.
