Microsoft-owned Mincraft is bringing the universe of Star Wars into the game – one of the biggest downloadable content mashups to date.
Available on the Mincraft marketplace, the pack features characters and locations from Disney Plus’ original Star Wars trilogy (Episode 4-6) and the “The Mandorolian” TV series, including the ever-popular Baby Joda.
For the popular Open-World game, the DLC contains content from “A New Hope,” “Hit the Empire Back,” “JD Returns” and “Mandorian” spread across the dioramas of 12 different planets. The pack includes a map, a skin pack, a complete bispoke texture set, mobs and item riskins, UI treatments – and even a licensed soundtrack.
The 12 Star Wars planet dioramas connected by “hyperspace” travel to MyCraft include Tatuin, Ender, and Hath (the original planet settings of the original trilogy), as well as from Nevero and Sorgan “Mandorian”.
Minkraft has 36 Star Wars character skins including Baby Joda, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Obi-On Kenobi, Cheboka, C-3PO, RD-D2, Jabba The Hot and many more. The DLC also includes the Spider, X-Wings and Razor Crest (from “The Mandorian”) pilotable vehicle, among others.
Microsoft bought Minecraft for 2.5 2.5 billion in 2014 and left it intact as an autonomous department for the most part.
