The Tiktok app adds Prince’s entire music catalog – variety

Under a deal with Prince Estate on Friday, Prince’s full song catalog is available for use in TickTock’s short-form videos.
Troy Carter, Prince Estate’s recreational adviser, said in a statement: “Prince was known for breaking boundaries, and Tiktok has proved it. “With the addition of Prince’s entire catalog to Ticket, we hope that a new generation of global fans can find meaning in Prince’s music and be inspired to create.”
Tic Tac Toe still has no rights to the music of some high-profile artists, including the Beatles and Rolling Stones.
TickTock users can create videos set to Purple One’s songs, including local ones like “Purple Rain”, “1999,” “Let’s Gray Crazy”, or “Purple Rain” and “Ador”. In addition, the video application now includes the official Prince Tiktok account (৪ Prince 4. Beaver), owned and operated by the late artist’s estate, featuring archived footage of Prince’s performances, interviews and video portions from his career as an artist, and staff. Also, the TickTock sound page provides a Prince playlist with highlights of each era of its discography.
