Vanderpump. The name itself sounds like a translational money-making machine. “Vander” is vaguely Dutch or Germanic and has a combination of elite, while “Pump” is Hollywood’s glitz, glam and gender. And, if we play by his rules, who can argue? Lisa Vanderpump has followed a final path in pulling the individual destiny by involving all matters of American high level and respect for the British, the toned body and groin drama spiced up in a healthy pile.
Former actress and husband Ken Ken Todd meets the evergreen herbivore Brafant Heardor, somewhat owned by Britain’s The Wicker, Wigger, Jagger and Rod Stewart – some who own more than two dozen bars and restaurants in London, all vanderpump-designed. They sold their culinary assets in Bluetooth and bolted to Beverly Hills after their daughter, Pandora, was accepted at Pepperdine University in 2005.
For the past 15 years, the pair have seen British pixie dust scatter around the flip side of their pond, and they’ve been around since opening five stateside restaurants – SUR, Villa Blanca, PMP, TomTom and Las Vegas’ vendorpump cocktail garden. Several of the trendiest parts of West Hollywood are L.A. The restaurants are a few minutes’ walk away from each other. And for the past seven years, one of the jewels in their eating and drinking crowns – SR – was a spin-off of the wildly popular Bravo reality TV show “Vanderpump Rules” – “Beverly Hills Real Housewives” in which Vanderpump also starred but recently left Gone.
SUR’s staff, who were all struggling actors and singers before the launch of the high-drama reality TV stardom, have in several cases been married or in long-term relationships with each other. And over the past year or so, they have begun to reap the real estate benefits of their new reputation and fortune. Jacques Taylor and Britney Cartwright, Tom Sandowell and Ariana Maddox, and Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney all threw similar homes a mile or two from each other in the up-and-coming Valley Village area of LA, other cast members in North Hollywood, Hollywood Hills. And has taken root in Palm Springs.
