A new game based on the “Trollhunters” franchise is being released on console and PC platforms this fall on Netflix.
The action-adventure game is based on the fantasy series DreamWorks animation “Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia” for filmmaker Guillermo del Toro Netflix. The game features a voice cast with original talent from Netflix shows: Emil Hirch, Charlie Saxton, Lexi Madarano and David Bradley.
“DreamWorks Trollhunters Defender of Arcadia” will be released on September 25, 2020, and will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC Digital. The game is developed by WafWord and will be published by Outreach Games in collaboration with Universal Games and Digital Platform and Bandai Entertainment Europe.
The “Tales of Arcadia” trilogy includes “Trollhunters,” “3 Belo” and the upcoming “Wizards”, which are scheduled to launch on Netflix later this year. The trilogy centers in the seemingly ordinary city of Arcadia Oaks are located at the center of the magic and mysterious line that makes it a nexus for many battles between creatures from other worlds, including trolls, aliens and wizards.
The new game will have a real story in the world of Trollhunter between three series of different worlds – as the player helps Jim Lake Jr. prepare to turn off the time-pokallips. It will also feature worlds and characters based on the Netflix series.
