Universal Music Enterprises Name Katina Bymon EVP – Variety

Universal Music Enterprises (UME), the global catalog and special markets division of Universal Music Group, has appointed Katina Bymon as the newly created executive vice president of the city’s East Coast label.
In this role, he will work closely with UME’s senior management team and senior leadership from Republic, Island and DF Jam to develop strategic initiatives across the anonymous label’s music music roster. Additionally, he will support the cash and label artist roster. Byname is based in New York and will report to Bruce Rajinikov, President and CEO of UME.

Katina’s skills, talents, long-term relationships with artists and directors and innovative spirit will be the key to collaborating with our labels and artists to provide music, merchandise and new fan experiences. ”

Prior to joining UM, Benum was Senior Vice President of Marketing at Cash Money / Young Money / Republic Records. For more than 20 years at the company, he has worked closely with artists including Lak Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Nellie, Birdman and Juvenile, as well as new actors such as Jacques, Blueface and Kayana Led.
Prior to joining Universal in 1996, Benum was the theater manager at the Apollo Theater in New York City, where he began his career in 1993.
