Viacom CBS is playing the Tones game with CBS All Access, paving the way for direct customer naming and launching of the bulk-up version in early 2021.

Legacy Viacom, including CTS All Access BT, Comedy Central, MTV and Nickelodeon, adds all0 shows from cable networks – representing more than 3,500 episodes in all. Additional programming boosts the number of CBS All Access headlines to more than 20,000 TV episodes and movies, and ViacomCBS plans to have more than 30,000 when it relaunches the service next year.

“The first big step is to transform access to all of the super-services we’re talking about,” said Mark DeBeves, President / CEO of Viacom CBS Digital and Chief Digital Officer at ViacomCBS. “

Media Congressman for the first time announced plans to expand the programming available on CABS All Access to include the content of Viacom CBS Cable, dubbed the “House of Brands” strategy.

New content starting Thursday includes all past asons of Nick’s “Spono Squarepants” and all seasons of “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “Ragrets”; All Seasons of Comedy Central’s “Chapel Show” and “Renault 911!” Its six previous seasons; All previous seasons of BET’s “Real Husband in Hollywood” (All Asons You) and “Single Woman”; All seasons of MTV’s “Laguna Beach” and “Snooky and Zhou”, previous seasons of “Teen Ma 2,” “Jersey Show: Family Vacation” and “MTV Floribama Shore”; And the previous seasons of VH1’s “Rupel’s Drugs Race.”

In addition, in 2021 CBS All Access plans to premiere the first spinf from a new original kids series, “Camp Coral”, Nick’s “Sponge Squarepants”. And as previously announced, CBS All Access will also be the exclusive home of “The SpongeBob Movie: Spongebob on the Run” in early 2021.

With additional content, pricing for the service will remain the same: 5. 99.599 per month with ads and $ 9.99 per month without ads (excluding live programming ads). And, right now, DBVice doesn’t expect a price change with a rebuild in 2021.

According to Debivoise, the company does not yet have a new name for CBS All Access, which said VaccomCBS is working with several companies to re-launch the branding.

A big change is coming to the front of the product: the renamed subscription service will be split from the CBS broadcast streaming service. “Currently all access to CBS is built into the CBS app on most platforms, and we want to differentiate them in the long run,” DBVoice said.

The ViacomCBS show-time standalone streaming product and the Noggin subscription service will separate the over-sized and rearranged CBS from all access.

CBS All Access is adding more content to kids (including Nick) and younger adults (MTV, Comedy Central, BET, and VH1), which will expand the addressable customer base of the OTT service, DBVice said: “I think our average age is even lower. Our subscriber base will be even wider. “He later added in 2020 that the streaming service will add the ability for users to add multiple user profiles – enabling parental controls for individual profiles.

Earlier this year, CBS added titles from the All Access Paramount Picture Film Library and now delivers more than 150 movies, including “The Godfather” trilogy, “The Farm,” “Charlotte’s Web” and “Horror Movies.”

In addition to additional content, CBS All Access will bring a new user interface to major device platforms on Thursday. The newly designed UI includes new content sections and advanced recommendations, including the Viacom CBS brand’s central hub and advanced personalization and discovery features. There is also a new “Now” section highlighting live programming.

ViacomCBS CBS did not break down how many subscribers all have access. In the first quarter, media outlets reported that CBS had a combined 13.5 million subscribers to all access and showtime streaming services, and could reach 116 million by 2020.

The core of CBS All Access’s core content will be its core and live sports slate, and the company is working to develop core shows across the ViacomCBS portfolio, DBVice said. Coming in 2021, Nickelodeon and United Plankton Pictures’ “Camp Coral” will follow the 10-year-old Sponge Squarepant and his flock to summer slipway camp where they spend their time building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish and spending time on Lake Yukimke in Lake Yukim : Camp Coral.

Towards the end of the year CBS launches the main series in all access: “Star Trek: Lower Dex” (August); “Big Brother Live Feeds”; “Star Trek: Discovery” Season 3 (October 15); And the limited-event series “The Stand” (late 2020), based on Stephen King’s 1978 novel. These will include “Star Trek: Picard”, “The Good Fight”, Jordan Peel’s “The Toilet Zone” restoration, and “Why Women Kill”.

Vis-V-V Viacom CBS Content Library, DBVice says the strategy for CBS All Access (and the successor service) will be to select the largest selection of content from its own archives, although the company will still license library titles to partners. For example, ViacomCBS has signed an agreement with NBCUniversal’s Peacock for a host of TV shows and Paramount movies on an undisputed basis only.

The ViacomCBS content adds all access to CBS:

  • BET: All Seasons of “Hollywood’s Real Husband”, All Seasons of “Hit Floor” and All Seasons Before “Single Ladies” and much more
