Vox Movies offers drive-in movies in Dubai – variety

Vox Cinemas, which operates 514 movie screens across the Middle East, will open a drive-in movie in Dubai, the only movie working in the city, though not the first.
The drive-in, which started on Sunday, is located on the roof of a shopping mall called Emirates Mall. Capacity 75 cars, maximum two people per car. Cost AED 180 ($ 49) per car for two including food and drink. Listeners play tunes at a set radio frequency to listen to audio. The screenplay starts at 7.30 am
VOX Cinemas says the drive-in was launched in response to easing restrictions during the UAE’s coronavirus epidemic, while protecting listeners in compliance with social distance guidelines. Under UAE Covid-19 rules, children over the age of 60 and three to 12 are not allowed on the drive.
