“At the moment I don’t really feel comfortable giving anything out,” Grande said. “Because without these, it’s a really complicated time for us.”

He recently went deeper into why people keep themselves away from the media spotlight, saying he felt he was often portrayed in unfair light.

“I stopped interviewing for a really long time because I felt like whenever I got to a place where someone would try to say something for a clickbite or my words or blah, blah, blah, I would defend myself,” Grand said. “And then, people will say, ‘Oh, she’s a diva.'”

Grand then compares the image of his press to how it is used with men, claiming that the way he is usually framed is essentially sexual.

“Men are there to express opinions or to defend themselves – or to give instructions and make notes about something, they’re brilliant and they feel good about it,” it’s like. “And yet, it’s not just the same thing for women, I hope we can work on fixing.”

However, Grande promised to “leave that trauma” and start giving more interviews.

“I have a lot to say, and I enjoy talking to people,” Grande said. “I like to interview and share with people and I’m not afraid to be myself.”
