Will Arnett listed L.A. Home – Diversity2 min read
In 2013, “Bozak Horsman” star Will Arnett will break up with his current ex-wife, Amy Pohler, the design’s six-time Emmy nominee who shelled out more than t 2.5 million for an unforgettable three-quarter home. In the Beverly Hills Post Office area of Los Angeles, a one-acre tree is being cut down above Coldwater Canyon. They are served not by department but by the city of Los Angeles.)
Working with Santa Monica-based design and development firm Architects Suu Kyi Reddy and Livinghomes, “Arrested Development” star Boring has demolished the old house and custom-built a dynamic, partial prefab housing inspired by the work of the late iconoclast architect Ray Kappi. After being featured and published in Dual Magazine a few years ago, it now occupies about 11 11 million.
Secured by a huge wooden gate and invisible on the street by the mature specimen tree canopies, the cedar abode of steel, glass and dark spots, a jagger-like combination of decorated volume, five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms provide 4,000 shiny square feet.
The sticky leaves of the Patal tree sit right under a glass and steel open stone staircase to the front door, and the double-height living room is furnished with plush sofas and a trio of glass and metal coffee tables arranged in a fashion that reflects the geometric design of the building. Featuring a long cushioned picnic area, the dining area is abruptly open to the kitchen, featuring sophisticated equipment and dark-stained oak cabinets, including black walnut handcrafted handles.
Outside the livingroom, the walls of a sunken den are decorated with textured paper that resembles concrete, and a discreet second staircase is filled with red light above the door using a small noise booth. The bathroom and en suite transform into a deluxe guest bedroom with bathroom, while three medium-sized guest bedrooms, with easy access to an en suite and two shared baths, efficiently clustered on their own wings at the back of the kitchen. Accessing the main staircase to the entrance gallery, the master suite at the penthouse level spreads through the glass wall to a huge deck with a dreamy, spectacular canyon view through the glass wall.
A secluded, cobblestone-paved patio has a plunge tub, outdoor shower and sauna booth. Other lovely planted areas include an outdoor fireplace with a built-in grill and cedar structure, while steel and wood trailblays give the appearance of a thin deck outside the living room that sensitively presents the endless edge of the swimming pool and spa into the outside.
The list is kept by Richard Ehrlich of the Westside Estate Agency.
